If you really really want english and have never made a japanese voice bank speak english, i dont reccomend it, and encourage you to check out Miku English V4 or wait around to see if there will be a new english voice bank produced (as of right now they have not revealed such a thing). similar to what i said above- its hard to achieve easily and the results may not be very good, mostly if its a first attempt at doing it. any "speaking" you hear is done within the same editor for singing, with notes and other parameters (like pitch bend) being used to emulate that sound. You can certainly use her that way- using japanese phonetics to make it sound like english, but it is rather difficult if you have yet to try it and the results will never be as good or similar to a english voice bank with english phonetics.įor "speech" like talking, well theres no miku talk engine/text-to-speech as of right now i think. With said phonetics, you can arrange them to make her sound like she is speaking english- but the voice doesnt "officially" support english the current voice is just japanese phonetics, no english. Sadly since I got my new iPhone 14 I have had issues loading this app and won’t be using it for the near future but this has to be the number one best text to speech app I have found to date.Miku NT uses japanese phonetics for the japanese language, intended to speak japanese. I would also suggest increasing the maximum play speed. The save function could be improved by creating small excerpts of the saved work as a title (like Speak4Me) as of now it is save as the whole text which makes it hard to find previous saved text. Many texts don’t have this feature and it is very important if you ever need to take a break from your book or where distractioned but you don’t want to have to search for where you ended in the text and delete your finished reading and restart the text. The best feature was the ability to pause scroll and start anywhere in the text. The voice options are broad but not anything special compared to other text to speech apps. I could copy and paste large swaths of an Ebook and listen throughout my work day. This as been one of the best text to speech apps I have ever used. Exporting speech and mixing speech requires iOS 13 Go Settings -> Accessibility -> Spoken Content -> Voices More voices are available in system settings
